picturesque Dorchester, Massachusetts. Good morning, Chris. Hi, how are you? I'm good, Jim. How are you? Good. Should this be the weekend or would it have been last weekend that we would have been up overlooking Patriots practice at Gillette Stadium outside of Gillette Stadium? I feel like we're getting ripped off here. Oh, yeah, that's right. There's a whole hodgepodge of terrible things that the COVID pandemic has brought us. But this is one of them. You know how much I usually love that Saturday. We're out there getting to watch some of the players hyping up guys that end up sucking like, who was it that one year? Was it? Brandon Cooks. Oh, you hyped up. Yeah, you did hype up. Way into Brandon Cooks when I first saw him at that practice and boy, did he end up being a disappointment. But we're not there. You have been able to go. You spent much of the week at Patriots practice. And before we get into, you know, all the minutia of what's going on there and the quarterback competition or maybe lack thereof because of the injury to Jared Stittum, the one thing I want to more know more than anything else, because I know you, like me, do not like to be inconvenienced. How much of a pain in the ass is it to deal with like all the precautions and everything you have to deal with with COVID and everything trying to get in there? Actually, it's not that bad. They've done a tremendous job. Really? To tip my cap to the Patriots. Yeah, Stacey James and his crew have done an outstanding job of setting it up logistically.

And it's pretty much, you know, I mean, it's a little different, obviously, because it's COVID, but it's pretty easy.

2:08.1

I mean, you know, you show up and you're on a list and you walk in and they have lines.

2:13.1

There's different tiers of media members. People like Doug Kide and Mike Reese that sort of do pool reports

2:19.0

are in this higher tier of media member. I believe they actually get COVID tested. We don't,

2:23.9

but you come in and you have this little app on your phone that you filled out all the

2:28.1

symptoms or the symptoms you don't have really that allow you to show up and they take your

2:32.6

temperature and give you a wrist span and hand you a credential we give the credentials back at the end of each day

2:38.2

I think they clean them down and that's it then you're in there oh yeah they've done a really good job

2:43.0

and the makeshift media workroom they set up which is socially distance it's in the old

CBS scene is really outstanding so they've done really well oh good I'm happy to i'm legitimately happy to hear that for you because i figured you had to have a test every single day that they monitored every single move that you make they make sure that you don't you know move from your seat while you're watching this thing i just figured there's gonna be one giant pain on the ass no no i mean you have to keep your mask on and all that That's fine. But they're really good. Yeah, I think the media relations staff has done an outstanding job. Football ops may or may not be trying to use a crisis to cut down media coverage. Oh, really? Yeah, kind of despicable, to be honest. Oh, yeah. Please expound on that. You feel like this is... You know, I just think, you know, we two days, three days into camp, we had a little issue where we were asked to not report stuff on special teams like, I don't know, who's catching the kicks, even though what had happened in days one and two. And that's not media relations. That's coming from football ops. So again, I think it's reprehensible and despicable to try and create a competitive advantage through a global pandemic. Yeah. Also, I googled Patriot kick returners. And the second thing that came up listed Isaiah Zuber and all the guys who had returned punts and kicks the first two days when we reported it. So the toothpaste is already out of the tube. Yeah, I'm not surprised to hear that.

This is something that I'm sure that Bill enjoys.

4:00.5

Like, oh, I don't have to actually deal with as many of these eight holes as I have in the past or I don't have to answer as many questions. Yes, excellent. I'm going to use this to my advantage. They're not the only team, by the way. Oh, I know. No, no.
