So honored to get to spend this time with you.

I look forward to connecting with you every single day, hopefully to bring you

conversations that inspire you in your faith walk, that deepen your understanding of God's

word and that heighten your awareness of his very real presence in your life. Well, you want to grow in your faith. You want to

encounter the living God in a way that changes you, right? So you ask someone wiser and older than you

for advice, and they say to you, you want to grow? We'll get to church and have a consistent quiet

time. And you do these things that you feel like something is still missing.

Well, you might be right.

God wired you in a way that's so unique to who you are, and he wants you to connect with him in a way that affirms not only how he wired you, but that changes you from the inside out.

And until we discover how God has wired us to connect with him, our spiritual practices

will be rigid, they'll be full of obligation, lacking in personal connection. And God has more for us.

I'm so excited and honored to welcome our friend of the program, Gary Thomas, to talk about one of

his classic books. And I think, I don't know if you have to be dead for the book to be a classic.

Gary's still living and breathing, but this is a classic and will go on to be a classic.
