Summary

The two-day Feast of Pentecost arrives in just a few days, June 11-13. It offers a remarkable shadow and type of the Rapture of the Church in so many different ways. The Church of course was birthed on a Pentecost. The Jewish people believe that Pentecost is the day the fruit of the trees is judged! King David was born and died on Pentecost. According to tradition, Enoch was born and then raptured on Pentecost! The Law was given at Mt Sinai on Pentecost and 3,000 people died. Peter preached the Gospel on Pentecost and 3,000 people were saved! It’s no coincidence—a perfect picture of Law and Grace! Gary and Bob discuss this important day on God’s calendar and wonder—will the Church be raptured on a future Pentecost?

0:43.3	going to talk about what's on page 23 of this magazine. But right now, we're going to talk
0:47.7	about page four. Pentecost, a picture of the rapture. You know, Bob, it's been many years, probably 25 years ago, that we first
0:59.0	began to write about this idea, noticing that the Jewish festivals all had fulfillments
1:06.0	that were prophetic in nature. And when you look at the Jewish festivals, you know, you're starting
1:12.2	with Passover, of course the Lamb of God, unleavened bread, Jesus is the bread of life, first fruits,
1:20.3	Christ is the first fruits of them who slept. And then you count 50 days after first fruits,
1:26.1	and you come to Pentecost. First fruits and
1:30.0	Pentecost always occur on the first day of the week a Sunday. And of course the church was
1:34.4	born on Pentecost that first day of the week.
1:39.7	Well I find it interesting that you're talking about Judaism. I mean, we're Christians and we're talking about Judaism today.
1:48.0	You know, there's something called the Feast Days of Israel that we really follow very, very closely and have over the years.
1:55.0	In fact, you know, there's a best-selling book out right now on the rapture of the church, except it's not on the rapture
2:01.6	of the church, it's against the rapture of the church. And what's really ironic about
2:06.6	the book, I think it's the number one best-selling book on Amazon right now, is it never
2:11.6	mentions the nation of Israel. That's right.
2:13.6	Never talks about Israel and the plan of God. And of course we are both fierce defenders of the
2:18.3	rapture of the church and the nation of Israel and God's plans for them into the future.
2:23.3	And some of these plans revolve around the Jewish feast days.
