Summary

The last few verses of the Old Testament carry a fascinating message from the Old Testament prophet Malachi. He says that God will send the prophet Elijah BEFORE the great and terrible Day of the Lord. Since Elijah is on the Earth for the first 3.5 years of the Tribulation, we believe his words are yet another clear proof-text that the Rapture of the Church ends the Church Age. Is Elijah alive on planet Earth today? Is there a lengthy interval between the Rapture and the start of the Tribulation? 1:29.4	day of the Lord? It's an amazing subject. Well, the doctrine of imminency is under attack,
1:34.8	like at no point in time in history. I have never seen so much venom and vitriol and angst
1:42.4	over the return of the Lord Jesus Christ, as he promised. He promised
1:46.3	to return. And you just have to love the quote from the prophet Malachi, and we're going to talk
1:51.0	about this. But he says, and students of prophecy are familiar with this phrase, behold, I will
1:56.9	send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
2:03.2	So let's identify what the day of the Lord actually is, Gary, because I know that's another subject here to your heart.
2:08.8	Well, it is, and it's often misunderstood.
