The book is Grateful American, a journey from self-to-service, And it really is an inspiring book. We're living in a really divided time, obviously, Gary. And it's really, I think a difficult time for most Americans, but it's a really uniting story. So let's start from the beginning. How did you get into acting? You grew up, you're telling me earlier that you grew up in the south side of Chicago. How do you go from there to world famous movie star? Well, it's a bit of a long journey, but I was, there was a story in the book

where I talk about that. Just a circumstance. I stumbled into it, really, or somebody

stumbled into me when I was in high school. I was kind of a rock and roller.

I had bands.

I played in bands from the time I was like fifth to sixth grade

or something like that.

I had guitars and played in rock bands.

Then I did that in junior high school.

Then I got into high school and I had a lot of trouble

in high school.

I was academically, I was really struggling.

This was in the late 60s and early 70s.

It was a time that the crazy things were going on.
