Consumer Technology Association, back on the show for his annual appearance that previews CES.

The Consumer Technology Association owns and operates CES.

And this year's show features no shortage of transportation technology from the likes of

Toyota, Honda, Scout, and Qualcomm, Mobile Eye, Bosch, and Volvo Group,

to name a few among the 300 or so mobility companies that are headed to Las Vegas in a few short

weeks. We're going to talk to Gary about what to expect and have a bigger picture discussion

on the state of global innovation and how President

elect Trump's plans impact consumer technology. But first, we have a look at this week's

headlines. And for that, I'm joined by my automotive news colleague, Molly Boygan. Molly,

how are you today? I'm doing well. Thanks, Pete. Good. I'm getting ready for CES. Are you

planning on going this year? What does it look like here for you in late December? Yes, I am getting

ready for CES, which is exciting. You know, lots of pitches coming our way and the schedule is

certainly filling up.

You know, I'll be covering a lot from the software defined vehicle side.

I am moderating a panel one of the days with Bosch.

So that's exciting. And then, you know, also just covering the last few weeks of the year as we look ahead

to the entering Trump administration.

And that has been a lot on a lot on

a lot of things. It has. And you've been steeped in certain aspects of the presidential transition,

probably not the least of which is the, you know, some of the tension around the waiver that
