and my guests sat in our respective homes and the lunch I've chosen, arriving at our

I love football less today than I did six weeks ago and I've not seen a match and that's

a big thing for me to say I love football less than I did six weeks ago.

You know obviously this is Influence and I've, some food is on its way to you. Now you

know because I wrote about it in a review of one of your restaurants and this is going

to drive certain listeners absolutely nuts that I have almost no knowledge of football whatsoever.

I am that rare creature, a man in Britain who just never been part of my culture and I

chose a particular restaurant because they're outpost both in Manchester and in London

and we could get delivered exactly the same food which I thought would be cool. So I went

for a Spanish restaurant called Iberica and then I thought oh god is this a really bad

call given that perhaps the famous, unhappiest moment of your career was the few months when

you were the manager of Valencia but I've also listened to very, you talk about this and

you've said that actually you know you learnt a lot from that period. So how do you feel

about Spanish culture and food given what's heading your way?

Do you know the biggest disappointment I have with my time at Valencia, obviously the

results because I wanted to do well for the club and for the owner and with the players

but they actually loved living over there, the food, the way of life, the culture and because

I was only over there for four months it was just cut far too short from a football point
