slightly different competition for what we're normally talking about.

And weather.

Well, yeah, yeah.

You've been a bit unkind to Manchester, I think, in that respect.

But we're talked specifically about the World Cup.

I want to ask you one question because you actually, I think, provoked a thought in my mind that I would never have had before about coming straight for the Premier League into a tournament or coming from any league in Europe. You said to me we were live

commentating back in the UK. You said I wanted to do that for the summer tournaments. I wanted

to finish the league and go straight in and not have that sort of three or four week hiatus.

It's happened now. Have you seen signs to justify those feelings that you had those years ago?

Yeah, I would have liked it. The reason I say that is that I went to eight tournaments as a player and a coach, five as a player and three as a coach. we did the same preparation in that three, four week void you have between the end of the season

and the start of the World Cup. I don't think we ever repeated with any manager or even with

the same manager, the same preparation twice. So we did sometimes we'd like another preseason

to get fit again. Then sometimes we rested and brought families with us. Other times just did
