| 1:08.5 | So you started racing bikes on the road and the track at age 12. How did you get into racing bikes at such an early age? |
| 1:11.9 | Well, I guess there was a local bike shop and I'd hang out there a little bit. And the older guys, |
| 1:18.8 | I mean, a 14 or 15 year olds, you know, they were all like into it. And I went on a ride of them |
| 1:24.9 | and they were saying, you too little. You can't come with us. |
| 1:28.5 | And I just didn't pay attention. I just came and they couldn't get rid of me. And at first they said, well, we'll make you a mascot. And I started crying. And they said, okay, we'll make you a full on member. And they were just that whole thing of getting away from everything and having your freedom. |
