Hey guys, and welcome back to another episode of short stories for kids.

I'm Lucy, your host, and I'm here to read you guys yet another exciting adventure story.

So guys, I wonder what magical adventure we're going to jump into today is.

So today's story request comes from Gary, and Gary absolutely loves Lego and the police.

So he wanted a story, which involves Lego and police, and him catching the bad guys.

You ready guys? Here we go.

Gary was excited. It was the day after his amazing birthday party. One of his gifts had been a

huge Lego set. There were pieces to specifically make police cars and policemen.

For as long as he could remember, Gary had imagined himself as being a member of the

police force helping to catch the bad guys. He couldn't wait for his Lego set to be built

so he could start playing pretend. He wondered what sort of bad guy he'd catch first.

He spent hours clicking the pieces together until he had built an amazing police station

and had three police cars and several offices. Gary said his dad, it's time for bed.

You can continue playing tomorrow. But dad said Gary, I have to catch the bad guys.

They'll still be out there to be caught tomorrow, said his dad. I'm your commanding officer,

and I say you're off the clock. You've already put in your maximum number of hours today.

Gary took off his police cap, part of a Halloween costume from years ago, then he headed up

stairs and put on his PJs. They had police cars all over them. In the middle of the night,

Gary woke up because he could hear a noise. It sounded like police sirens. He had a flashlight

on his bedside table. He picked it up and began to creep downstairs to where he thought the noise

was coming from. As he entered the living room where his Legos were set up, he was amazed to see
