Hello there, I'm Chuck Todd. I just got off to meet the press set where I wrapped up interviews

with the New Jersey Center of Bominendes. He's chair of the Center for Inrelations Committee

has a lot to say about getting money to Ukraine. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro

Mayoricus, plus Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns, authors of what is going to be a dominating

sidebar story of the week. All of their interesting nuggets on this will not pass. The book actually

officially comes out Tuesday sitting here with my pal and colleague, Gary Cate. He's our senior

congressional correspondent here at NBC News. And, Gary, I actually, I am curious, right? We've got

Ukraine funding issues in COVID, you know, and all this and I, I did not go down the rabbit hole

of, hey, are we going to pass this with COVID or we know it's going to pass. Yeah. Maybe an ugly process.

But what do you think your week's going to be dominated by anecdotes from the book or

hand ringing over how they're going to pass the Ukraine funding? Oh, I think the book is still going

to be the driving storyline for the next couple of days. At least, I mean, the reality is on the COVID

funding. Courts not supposed to act on the title 42 part of this till what, the 13th or 14th,

that's the next hearing on the. So nothing happens. No, I think it moves. I think COVID or on both

Ukraine and COVID. On both. Because I think Democrats would much prefer to link all this together

and do everything all at once. And I don't think they know what the lay of the land is going to be

until this judge makes a decision. And as has become the trend of both of the other two branches,

everybody's going to wait around and see what federal judge is going to decide about a key policy

issue. And then they're going to figure out how they're going to move it. So I think there's a lot

of just talking about this over the next week or two. That's interesting. It is. Is there a,

if I asked you to name a Republican who actually wanted to do immigration legislation,

what Republican would you name? I think John Corning wants to do something in that space. I believe
