Randy and our good buddy Gar Rinesse, the batting stance guy, went to the All-Star game this week together. We went together. Recorded a little segment that we're going to drop into this show, and then we're bringing him on to the show to get sort of a mid-year look at Major League Baseball and try to And we'll talk about our experience being at the All-Star game. I think that was my first one. Jay, you're saying that wasn't my first All-Star game. No, I think we went to the All-Star game in St. Louis in 2009, maybe. Maybe. I can't remember it, but I felt like this was my first one ever. If it was my second one, I apologize because I put on social media that was my first. but I couldn't remember the first one, but this one was phenomenal.

1:31.0

It was amazing.

And I would argue that I think some of the things they did in this All-Star game. So we'll talk about that as your piece because Jay watching on TV, Gar and I were there. We'll get to all of that later. But first... I think some of the things they do have to go back into the league and they should do it throughout the season.

1:45.3

I agree.

2:00.3

But first, let's talk about how futile and how impotent and how embarrassingly bad the National League is when it comes to this day. So Gar and I are sitting there and it's in the late innings. First of all. Naturally goes up to nothing. I'm like, oh, this might be different. then in an instant,

2:03.6

the Dodgers pitcher at Dodgers. Tony Gonslin,

2:04.2

gives up three months. It actually goes up 2-0. I'm like, oh, this might be different than in an instant, the Dodgers pitcher at Dodgers. Tony Gonslin, the guy who was 11-0 coming into the game. Untouchable. This guy's untouchable. And in classic Dodgers fashion, he has a great regular season. And then kind of when it counts the most, or maybe the All-Star game, that it doesn't count at all. Bucks it up. But when the chips are down, he is awful in his one-in, gives up a hit, gives up a two-run blast to Giancarlo Stan, then gives up another home run to Byron Bucson. Byron Bucston, the name of a major league baseball player that would be most fun for Johnny Carson to have said. Byron Buxton.

2:35.4

Byron Buxton is on the front of course.

2:37.0

But Byron Buxton is a star. He is an MVP in the making. To me, he could be better than down the road a mooky bets, okay, who I think is already incredible.

2:47.0

He's amazing.

2:48.9

Angie and Carlos Stanton is a beast.

2:51.4

So you have him and Aaron Judge and all these great players in the American League.

2:56.0

And great pitchers.
