| 0:00.0 | What's up everybody welcome to IZN Game Scoop. I'm your host Damon half feel joining me this week. Artina Amini. Hello. Justin Davis. Scoop. And Sam Clayborn. What happened there? Did we just lost? Yeah. Lost Justin Scoop. Are you still there? Okay. Now he's there. I thought he's snubbing me. I didn't take it that way. Anyway, would you have a great show for you this week? |
| 0:30.0 | We're talking about a surprise new Teenage Mutant Instruments game. A very pleasant surprise. I think we'll talk about what we've been playing which for my part includes more old games, but a really old game. But first if I look and sound different to you this week is because I've just moved into a new home. And we're still getting set up. And although I have internet setup, it's in my living room. And then the office where my computer is is on the complete other side of the house. I'm having a hard time getting the internet. |
| 1:00.0 | To the other side of the house. I've got some things to try. I've got a power line adapters coming tomorrow. Are you guys familiar with this? It sounds like black magic. So sweet. It sends the internet through the power out of my house. Skip skip all that and just make a bunch of speed holes in your wall. Speed holes. Speed holes. I don't even know if you get through. Yeah. Yeah. I own this house. So I get whatever I want with it. You can do whatever you damn well. Please put a couch in the kitchen. |
| 1:29.0 | Or a refrigerator just in every room. Yep. I do need to. I do want to beer fridge for the garage. Anyway, let's get to the show this week. |
| 1:41.0 | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles shredders revenge. Who saw this one coming? Nobody. I think turtles baller stuff still. Right. That's like the one type of turtle game that gets made besides Japanese. |
| 1:57.0 | Yeah. High action games. Not good ones. Yeah. I mean, yeah, we hope it's good. It has a good pedigree behind it. Tribute games. The guys that did the one I enjoy last year very much. Panzer Paladin. |
| 2:11.0 | That's what like I was not that interested in this because only because so many of these throwbacks end up being disappointing. Right. Like you're so jazz and exciting. Then it comes out and it's fine. You know, and then and then it's over. But this one every single portion of the announcement. |
| 2:30.0 | I'm like, OK, OK, good developer. Like good. Like they're hitting all the right notes. I could not be more jazzed. And I think this is going to be the one that like actually delivers on the promise of like what sort of a modern throwback can be. |
| 2:44.0 | Well, yeah, except that it's it's being published by dot in who last year brought us street. |
| 2:50.0 | It's a bridge for which is also another great, you know, modern. Yeah, classic broader. Exactly. Look at the technodrome. It looks so cool. Yeah. |
| 2:59.0 | It's a bridge. I'm not a turtle's guy. So I'll connect to this on the brawler level. It's a bridge for have anything that was like kind of like a meta game that kind of like did something brawlers didn't like an RPG system like Rimmer City ransom or like castle crashers or anything like that. |
| 3:17.0 | And then I had an interesting scoring mechanism where the longer you went without taking damage the higher your score would go. |
| 3:25.0 | Which was kind of cool. And then there's like you could like some stress to me. I like it. |
| 3:30.0 | It also just had a really, really great animation. And of course, the turtles game is going for classic. It's going to look like it is a sequel to the original turtles arcade game right from the early 90s. |
| 3:44.0 | Our producer is writing me that turtles in time is so much fun. Now I've played all of the early turtles, brawlers. They're fine. I played them like crazy. And as a kid, but you guys know how I feel about brawlers. |
| 3:54.0 | They need something extra. They're just too boring, otherwise. That's good for, you know, $10 worth of quarters in the arcade. I'll always grant them that. |
| 4:02.0 | But I don't want that in my home. And even with four people, I'm going to play through it once maybe. And it was to see all the cool pixel art and stuff. |
| 4:09.0 | So that that that would be nice in this. And I'm sure it'll be interesting. But back in the day, brawlers were cutting edge graphics. There's nothing that looked as good as them. |
| 4:17.0 | And that was the reason for me to play them like run racers were first coming out like I'm not going to play Daytona USA ever again. |
| 4:23.0 | But I was pretty excited about Daytona USA when it was at a bank of machines in the arcade. |
| 4:28.0 | I'll put $10 in quarters into this machine, but I won't buy it for $10. |
| 4:33.0 | I wouldn't do that. It's the arcade experience and you're with your friends and you're like, how long can this quarter get me in this round? |
