week is Justin Davis Tom Marx scoop and Tina Amini and we have a great show for you

this week. We're going to talk a little bit about Sony and its first party studios which

it is a reportedly shifting year into next gen for PlayStation 5. We got to talk about

Wargroove which Tom reviewed Justin Ivan playing. We've been playing Wargroove yet. It's

very good. I encourage you to read Tom's review. We'll do some discussion of that. That

game should be out by the time you are listening or watching this video. But first, Metacritic

has released its yearly round up of the best game publishers ranked by its average game

reviews. The results may surprise you. The results may surprise you. You won't believe

number six. The methodology is always a little bit strange I think but it always also adds

for some interesting discussion here. This list is not based on sales or user reviews. This

is based on average critic reviews for the entirety of a publisher's catalog that are released

in 2018. It's a combination of the average Metascore for all its games release. The percent

of games that had good reviews versus the percent of games that had bad reviews and

then the number of these games that got great reviews 90 or higher. I blocked out there

for a second. Can you just bottom line it for me? It's based on their average reviews.

Whoever made the best games also didn't know because it's like whatever. The bad games

balance out. If you didn't publish more than four games or something. That's another

thing. They distinguish between major publishers and mid-tier publishers based on the number

of releases. Activision Blizzard is not a major publisher under this criteria. They do

make some of the most billions. That's true. Not based on number of copies sold or how popular

the game is. The amount of releases. Got it. The publisher had. It also doesn't include
