And we've got a great show for this week. It's GDC week here in San Francisco. Lots of stuff going on. Lots of cool games are being revealed.

We're going to talk about some new Nintendo announcements that we heard from this morning. We're going to talk about the games we would use to explain to an alien what video games are.

Ooh, oh man.

We don't have to talk about that.

But first the Atari VCS was released in 1977 and was later to be renamed the Atari 2600 and it is back baby 41 years later.

Yeah, yeah.

Yeah, we've known Atari had a new console nickname the Atari box for a while and yesterday they revealed its official name is the Atari VCS and has a very cool retro logo.

Not only retro logo but the look of it looks like one issue of the Atari with these like weird ridges.

It looks like it belonged in Blade Runner which is good because the Atari logo is in Blade Runner and the new Blade Runner.

And then it has a joystick like an Atari joystick for whatever reason. I don't know what's going on with the system.

But it also has a controller controller like that looks like a next box controller basically.

But the analog stick is red and so if you look at it it looks just like that red button in the same placement of the original Atari controller.

Yeah, I hope this doesn't end up being the dumb and dumber to a video game consoles where it's like, oh, this is the sequel I wanted but like 20 years too late.

Yeah, it's a new yeah.

It's a it's what prepackaged or preloaded games.

So we don't know yet.

It is not it is nothing to do with the Atari games though.

They wanted to make it like a play playing PC games type thing.
