What's up everybody welcome to IGN Game Scoop. I'm your host Damon Hatfield joining me this week is Justin Davis, Brian Altono, and Clayborn.

That was one and a half scoops. Yeah, it was leading the crap rap? Yeah, yes, that's true. We've got a great show for you this week.

We're going to talk about Resident Evil 7. We're going to talk about the NES Classic, NES Mini, I always forget which one it is in which territory.

But first, you know this is not a political show and I have no intentions of politicizing the show right now.

However, we are recording this on Wednesday afternoon, not 24 hours after the election. It's all anybody can talk about. So it seems a little strange to just completely ignore it.

I just want to say a video game is one of the very nice things about video games is that they can be an escape from whatever is troubling you, weighing on your mind.

And I think whatever your political readings are we can all agree the selection cycle has been exhausting. So it might be nice to think about something else for an hour.

Think about something a little bit more fun. Hopefully the games you are playing are interesting.

You know what games can also do on that just that small note is that they're great escape.

And I just the worst times of my life may be able to play games.

Sure. But also with games that are out right now like Mafia 3 talking to our editor chiefs to what's about this day.

You can play games that take you and put you in the lives of people that are very different than you.

Yeah, for sure.

And get to know those people.

And I think you know one thing that we can learn on any side of any politic right now is that we all need to know other people better.
