What's up everybody and welcome to IGN Game Scoop. I'm your host this week, Samuel Claiborne,

and I'm filling in for Damon, who's out just this week. Joining me this week are Rebecca

Valentine, John Davidson, and Miranda Sanchez. We've got a masterpiece show for you this week.

We're going to be talking about this insanely crazy week of console war news. It's just

one of the most consequential and funniest ever weeks, I think ever in the history of game

news, it's just been crazy. We will also get some console wars history going here too,

from John who covered some of the earlier console warrings. But first, last week Nintendo

announced a bunch of games, and we commented on them, but this panel didn't get to, and

I want to hear their opinions. So to that end, I'm going to go ahead and start with Miranda

because, as I mentioned to you before the show, we didn't get to say the P word at all

last week, which could either be Pikachu or Pokemon, but we had to talk about those games.

So what are your thoughts on those announcements? Yeah, Pokemon, just me showing off my tattoo,

it's Pokemon. Yeah, I was exclusively brought here to talk about Detective Pikachu. No,

not exclusively. No, no, no, no, no, no, I can tell you about that. We're very good at selling

us on Detective Pikachu because you like the first game a lot, if I have a number. Yes,

I feel like I'm like one of the only people who is excited for Detective Pikachu. Yeah, I

reviewed the first game, really enjoyed it. It's definitely a good puzzle game for kids,

and if you like puzzles at all, it's a good time. But also if you just like Pokemon and the world

of Pokemon specifically, this showcases that life and the way we don't really see in the other

games, mainline games, you get to mostly battle, like that's such a big part of it, seeing how

Pokemon live within the world and exist in like chores and as friends and as shop companions,

just doesn't really exist in that same extent as you see in Detective Pikachu because it's all
