Welcome everybody to the Dap Poker podcast, which as you know for the next little while is going to be the Game of Gold podcast, recapping each episode of the Game of Gold as they air to give you kind of a behind the scenes look at some of the stuff that's going on,

we'll catch you up with the action and the drama.

This show isn't your grandpa's poker show.

The Game of Gold combines a reality TV angle with poker,

which gives the viewer a chance to really get to know the players.

I mean, if you think about it, guys,

one of the things we all like about watching TV,

whether it's

poker after dark or high stick poker, is the banter at the table.

We want to hear about the players' lives.

We want to hear about stories.

We want to hear about all that stuff.

And this format without play-by-play commentating as the poker goes down, other than from

the players, is fantastic.

And that gives us sort of the ability to learn more about each of these people and become,

you know, familiar with them, but also give us a rooting interest into, into the

some of the players that you might not know.

And that's what makes this show for me a lot of fun, going into the sweat rooms,

watching the play in real time.

And you get all their thoughts on the hands.

It's great.
