But in an NBA sense, we start off tonight in Dallas where the Mavs dueled with the Charlotte Hornets, super fun preseason game, a lot of thrilling moments from Cooper Flagg. And our own Nick Engstad was there to tell us how it all went. Dallas Mavericks against the Charlotte Hornets and Cooper Flagg, another impressive game. He just shows off his consistency. He can do a whole bunch of different things on the basketball court. He can score in a bunch of different ways. He can defend, he can playmate. Got four assists in this game, scored 11 points. And he scored those points on a couple pull-up jumpers, which is something that is really big for his career going forward. And can he be like a number one eventually on the team? Can he be a guy that can get his own shot? Those pull-up jumpers we saw tonight are big.

We also got to see a Cooper flag, Derek lively, PJ Washington lineup in some extended minutes because the starters went into the third quarter and PJ Washington played with them for a little bit longer. And that lineup looked really good. A lot of of switchability a lot of ways that they could get rebounding and push and a break and all that

not a good game for Anthony Davis he had some moments in the third quarter where he hit some good

buckets here and there but not a great effort game did not see the elite defense that we thought

that we would see with this mavericks crew and so I'm not really judging him for this one. Maybe a slow start for him. Maybe he's taking it slow going into preseason. But good from Cooper Flagg, not so good from some of the, some of the vets on the team. But the Dallas Mavericks continue on. Ryan Moore, extended action from Cooper Flag. rookie's career? Well, just nice to see him continue to grow that game and show. It's always
