Hey everybody, Rob Mauer here and today we are going to be talking about some pretty

big news for Tesla's charging ecosystem.

We've also got an update on Tesla battery supplier CATL in the wake of Nancy Pelosi's

visit to Taiwan and a new development in the recall of Toyota's first all electric vehicle.

Alright, kind of another bumpy day for the stock today, Tesla finishing up 1.1% closing

at $901.76 and although it doesn't really feel like it, this is the first time Tesla

is closed above $900, since very early in May and I say it doesn't really feel that way

because we've had a couple days now where Tesla has shot up to $930-$940 per share

and then continued to drop throughout the day.

Today both Tesla and the NASDAQ kind of fell off a cliff in early afternoon, usually it's

a little bit easier to tell exactly what causes something like that.

In this case I think a little bit less clear, I don't know maybe someone has different

thoughts on that but overwhelmingly the chatter in the markets today centered around

Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan, she's the highest US official to visit Taiwan in over

25 years.

Of course the status between China and Taiwan has been a concern in the market escalated

by the events in Russia and Ukraine and in a move that many are connecting to Pelosi's

visit, China has announced military drills in the near vicinity of Taiwan with the New

York Times reporting that that would appear to you in fringe on Taiwan's territorial waters.

So the market a little bit on edge with some of these reports, some of these concerns

about maybe further escalation as this visit unfolds and the aftermath of it.
