Alan, after back-to-back losses on Home Eyes, one being in a thrilling overtime loss to Tampa, so they did get a point.

Caps needed a win against the Flyers. It wasn't the most artistic win, but they got it.

Men playing with boys. It didn't matter on this one. And the Caps just did what they needed to do.

Didn't break a sweat. Didn't have to throw a hit, basically.

And they get it,

basically rubbing out the Flyers for making the playoffs.

Brian McNally, to build off of that, they played four times this year for a grand total of 240 minutes against the Flyers. They never trailed for one single second. This was, as Alan said,

men against boys and it really was all season long. Pretty pretty good. That's never happened before.

It's only happened once before where they've swept the season series and that was the worst

season I think in Flyers history where they've had the worst record in the league. So,

you know, that's a big deal.

Those points matter. Philly wasn't great this season, but they're just now fading out of the

playoff race. And the caps beat them three times in March with Tom Wilson said after the game,

I'm not going to say it on camera, but it feels pretty good. So they were excited to take out a rival like that

and pretty much end whatever small hopes Philly had.

And you know what?

It gives them some breathing room and going into a huge week here,

back-to-back games against Carolina.

Yeah, J.J. Regan, it was like each of the final three nails in the coffin that finally

killed the Philadelphia Flyers.

But it was odd watching this game because it almost felt like Todd Reardon put a bunch of numbers
