And what's even more shocking, they've given up seven or more,

seven or more goals in three of their last four games.

And it's not surprising that they lost this one in the fashion that they did.

When you think of what Barry Trots, Todd Reardon, Elaine Lambert, Blaine Forsyth,

Brett Lee & Hart, what they had built with Mitch Korn was they took a hockey team that was careless

defensively, that was somewhat dangerous offensively, and they became a heavy hockey team,

a physical hockey team, but thought defense

first for the most part. And they'd get themselves out of trouble by playing Stingy D. What we've

seen the Capitals do in this losing skid is get away from being a great defensive hockey team,

a committed defensive hockey team. So when you look at this game, this was not how they play. This is not how

we've seen them be successful back and forth, back and forth. It was fun to watch from a goal

scoring point of view, but for the Capitals to be successful, they can't play a fun to watch

game like that. It was too loose. They need to be tighter defensively. They need to be physical

at the right times, emotionally,

in control. And I thought they got carried away in this game by not being who they are. And that

should be a defense first type of hockey team. Now, Billy, I know the coaching staff, Todd Reardon

after the game, said, even if we had one six five, that's not a good result.

It's not the way we want to play.
