Well, Alan, that looked like the 2018 caps beat the 2019 caps because Barry Trots had his

Islanders playing like the team we saw run through the playoffs and win a Stanley Cup.

They absolutely sucked the life out of the caps for their fourth straight loss.

I think that was a combination of

quality coaching that they've received this year because they've been laughable the last few years

on how they play without the puck. And they've had some good players, but they've never put

it all together. And no matter who's on that roster right now, they look like a really deep team.

But I think what tonight was was the older guys,

the leaders on that said, we're going to win this game for our coach. And they went out there

and they played with so much discipline, so much poised defensively. They didn't ever let this

game become emotional. They didn't let the Caps fans get into it. They certainly didn't let the Caps

players get into anything emotional.

There was nothing close to a fight. There was nothing close to a scrum. And they just

suck the absolute life out of this building. If it was a blocked-in coal mine and everyone

would have been dead right away because they sucked the oxygen out of the building,

man. The canaries were gone. Well said. The only emotion that did happen,

Ryan Billy, was when they played the video tribute to Barry Trots. And once again,

the Cap's video crew just knocked it out of the park.

And I think he really appreciated it. He said before the game, his heart is full of great

memories. I think that was the final piece to his closure of this amazing chapter of his life.

Yeah, one of the highlights of the night, for sure, at least off the

ice. They did it. Yeah, they've gotten a lot of good practice over the last six months of doing
