Well, Alan, I don't know if the Caps necessarily played two great games in a row, but they got two wins in a row and they needed that.

Well, they didn't play bad in this one. It was just an ugly game.

The poor officiating, Philly playing a brutal style of hockey that should be outlawed in the National Hockey League for having that defensive formation and then neutral zone and not being aggressive,

doing the long chip-in.

So a game can be ugly, but the caps were patient and all of a sudden they sort of pot

the goals, the goals that they needed to win.

But then at the end of the game, the last four or five minutes, it just wouldn't end.

It was painful.

It was.

But the final result was nice.

Jacob Vrana comes through with a couple of goals.

When he is engaged and those feet are moving, he is downright scary Ryan, Billy, and fun to watch.

It's like a video game, man. He's got that extra turbo boost button that makes other players look

silly. And Locker made the point that he's now learning.

We always know he was fast.

Now he's learning the little things like playing defense,

and that has proved to be a lethal combination.

And Brian McNally, Tom Wilson, man, I wish that empty-knit goal had counted.

They called it an off-size, which was the right call.

But that was a little bit of everything. The hustle to win the puck at his own blue line, the power to fight through a check to win the puck back, and then score a goal. That didn't count, but he did score the first one. You just keep seeing more and more of his complete game. Yeah, I mean, just another good night. He's stringing him together, closing in on career highs and pretty much everything, and he's played, what, 23 games,

something like that? Even with the suspension, hasn't mattered. He's produced and
