No, I thought they were so intense all game long, even though they got behind early one nothing.

They had fight in them all game long, defensively responsible, just totally in tune with what they had to do tonight and they gritted out a win.

But for those folks who didn't get a chance to see the game and may not have been aware of what

the capitals were facing, not only were they facing the highest scoring line in hockey, the highest

scoring goals per game team in hockey in the Colorado Avalanche and Nathan McKinnon, Landisog

and Raton. Capitals were without Bradenolpi, without Yvgeny Kuznetsoff, without T.J.

Oshy, and yet they came through with one of the grittiest performances of the year.

Absolutely, and I really like the job that Reardon did in assembling the lines and not just sticking

with them all game long, rotating guys around Baxter and Ellower foot-flopping with Ovechkin and Wilson, Verona Burakoski. I thought they were really good in their all-round play. But I look at the forwards tonight. I love their puck pursuit. I love how good they were at getting the pucks out of the zone, hunting pucks, knowing when to chase a forecheck, knowing when to back off and own the neutral zone. And then that helps her defense. We didn't see defensive errors in this game for the most part. We saw great coverage from the young guys, Bowie, Jews, Carlson, Niskenen, you know, the Orloff Kempney, the older guys did their part. And it was just a great, great, gritty team game against a team that's kind of loaded up top, but they slowed the

abs down. The abs didn't look as fast as they did when I saw them play Boston the other night,

and that goes to a great game plan, and then the players really wanted to make sure that they

got on track and started winning games. And I think a lot of people had them counted down and

out going into this, and they proved everyone wrong. Well, I think maybe people had them down and out and counted out a minute, eight seconds into the game. They get up the first goal to Colorado. And you wouldn't, not that you would blame them anyway, but if they walked out of the Pepsi Center tonight with a loss, you would say, well, yeah, that makes sense. Backup goalie.
