Summary

Paolo Espino remains without a win this season as the Nats were handled 8-2 by the visiting Braves. Mark & Al point to all the things that went downhill for the Nationals after their early 2-0 lead, including a trio of HRs from the loaded Atlanta offense. (05:06) Washington's defense was sloppy on Tuesday and the infield's effort came across as "casual". The team was only charged with one error, but there many questionable throws throughout the night. The defense has been much better since the trade deadline, which makes this game a recent oddity. (14:45) Espino had a dream start to his outing as he struck out five Braves the first time through the order. However, the evening went askew the second time through the Atlanta lineup. Mark points out the season long disparity for Espino when facing a lineup for a second time and how that contributed to him not being able to notch a win in 2022. (21:35) Victor Robles slugged his 6th HR of the season, the only ounce of offense the Nats produced. His defensive play has been elite as of late and this leads to discussion of what 2023 might look like for Robles. (26:25) MacKenzie Gore appeared in the Nationals clubhouse and spoke on how he is feeling after Monday night's rehab outing in Rochester. Will he start a Washington game before the season ends?
