The nearly 71 year old Branson and fifth and five crew mates from his virgin galactic space tourism company reached an altitude of about 53 miles.

That's how high up they were over the New Mexico desert.

That was enough to experience three or four minutes of weightlessness and they got to see the curvature of the earth.
