Welcome to our new project, the Daily Bible Devotional. The goal is to help you understand and apply

scripture as you go through a New Testament Bible read five days a week, Monday through Friday,

as we move from Matthew straight through to Revelation. In under four minutes each morning, we will recap the chapter,

make some application, present thought questions for the day, and offer a prayer together.

Hey, welcome to our daily Bible devotional study as we dig into the book of Galatians, and we begin here in chapter 1.

The Galatian letter begins with Paul asserting his apostleship, stating that it comes directly from Jesus Christ and God the Father, not from human authority.

He expresses deep concern that the Galatians are turning to a distorted gospel,

warning that anyone, human or angel, who preaches a different message, is accursed. Paul emphasizes

that he seeks to please God, not people, and that his gospel was revealed to him by Jesus Christ, not taught by men.

He shares his past as a persecutor of the church, but explains that God, by grace, called him to preach to the Gentiles.

Without seeking approval from other apostles, he went to Arabia, later meeting Peter and James in Jerusalem. His dramatic transformation

amazed believers, proving that his message was truly from God. We are challenged to stay true

to the gospel of Jesus Christ, resisting false teachings and seeking God's approval above all else. Like Paul,

we must stand firm in our faith, even when pressured by the world. We must examine what

influences our beliefs. Are we following God's simple truth in Christ or human opinions? Our calling

comes from God, not people. Paul's transformation shows that God's grace

can redeem anyone and use them for his purpose. We should seek God's direction, trust his

timing, and boldly share the gospel. Living for Jesus means unwavering commitment to his

truth, even when it's unpopular.

By staying faithful to Christ, we honor his simple plan of salvation and bring hope to others.
