This is probably going to feel weird. Are you kidding me? Stop. It's a kind of party where you walk in and we just make our circle a little bigger and you're in. It's not like something you got to do to earn your stripes or something. If you want to be here, you're here. So welcome. Thank you for jumping in. Today's a great day to jump in on the podcast because you're getting the last little bit of the good stuff of season five of this podcast where we're working on the book of Galatians. And you're here just in time to get the feel for things before we pivot to season six, which is going to be on the book of Philemon.

All of that said, today's going to be a weird episode. We don't normally do things like what we're doing today.

Normally, we pick a book of the Bible and then we work through it over whatever period of time it takes to work through it.

And how do we decide what to talk about? Well,

it's whatever is in that book of the Bible. Whatever's next, we talk about that, even if it makes

me feel weird or I don't know exactly what to do with it. That's what it is. How do I mentally

prepare to have these discussions? Well, by liking the Bible and being interested in what it says and reading what is in there and then following wherever the curiosity takes us as we look at it. So sometimes we linger for a very long time on just a few words or a couple verses. Sometimes maybe it seems like we go pretty quick. I don't know. Maybe it never actually feels like that. Whatever the case, we have been lingering again on this one little verse that raises, I think, a very obvious question

here in Galatians 6 and verse 10. Throughout most of the first five chapters, Paul has been dealing

with a big theological question. If you want, you can go and start from the beginning of this

season on Galatians. If you want to, if not, you from the beginning of this season on Galatians,

if you want to. If not, you're just stay right here. But what you're going to find over the

course of this season is that Paul is dealing with a theological crisis, some confusion that

happened in this fledgling network of churches in Galatia, which is in modern day Turkey. But here in the last chapter

and a half of the book, he's tackling very practical things. What should the Christians do?
