0:19.0	Hey, my friends, it's Matt. This is the 10-minute Bible Hour podcast. And everybody's got their Achilles heel. I mean, I suppose everybody's got a whole stack of problems. But it seems like everybody's got that Achilles heel thing. That one thing, this is kind of eats your lunch. It's like the one customized weakness that is built into the personality of every person or group can have
0:40.2	this as well.
0:41.3	Sometimes a group, a social circle, an institution will take on these kind of characteristics.
0:47.4	And as we're looking at the book of Galatians this season, what it seems like the deal is
0:52.3	is that we got a group people here in these churches
0:54.8	in Galatia who had, you know, a variety of stuff that could trip their trigger that could
1:00.6	tangle them up a little bit. But in particular, it seems like they could get after each other
1:06.7	pretty well. And some pressure got inflicted on this church by some outsiders who came with some
1:12.9	weird foreign teaching. And stuff turned really mean. And so the really obvious thing over the
1:19.3	course of this season on Galatians that we've noticed that Paul, the author of the book we're
1:24.3	looking at here is contending with with is destructive stuff about bad theology,
1:30.7	getting it wrong and misunderstanding the relationship between the flesh, which is dead and life
1:36.2	that comes only from God and thinking that it's a viable option or alternative to just believing
1:42.7	in Jesus to instead be like, I'm just going to be incredibly good and well disciplined and I will learn God's favor.
1:47.8	We've looked at so much of that theology problem that this group has.
1:54.0	But is that really the Achilles heel?
1:57.4	The great secret weakness, the kryptonite of the Galatians as individuals and collectively
2:04.2	as a group. No, I don't think it is based on what we're seeing here in the book of Galatians.
2:09.5	I think the thing that really got them, they really bit them in the butt is that when the pressure
2:14.5	got ratcheted up, they turned nasty with each other.
2:18.8	I think this is a problem that probably predated them becoming a church.
