Hey, do you remember like two days ago when we opened an episode of this podcast with a Mount Rushmore exercise?

It's pretty fun. Don't get me wrong. I understand why everybody loves them so much.

A Mount Rushmore exercise is where I throw out a category and then you blurt out the four things that are most deserving of being listed in that category.

So, for example, if the category is presidents who should be on Mount Rushmore,

you're going to want to yell probably the ones that are on there.

I mean, I think that's the obvious answer.

So here's one for you.

Ready?

Top four dog names ever. Which four dog names are on the Mount Rushmore of dog names?

What do you got? And some of you right now, you're trying to come up with trendy, recent stuff.

Don't give me any of that. Give me classic dog names. What'd you come up with? All right,

here's the four I got. Spot, champ, Rover,

and big number four. Are you with me on this one? What do you have? I'm going Fido. Now,

in all of these circumstances, I don't know anybody who's had a, no, that's not true. I know

somebody who owned a Fido. My buddy, eddie had a dog named phido growing up and

for three of those four i can see why you wouldn't want to name your dog that you know it's not exactly

ideal champ it sounds good but that's going to be a dog from a fancy pedigree it's going to be real

expensive rover that's what one of my two dogs does all the time. And I don't like it. She just roves.

If she can get away, she will get away. I don't think that's a positive attribute at all.

And then my other dog does what the other name is. Spot. She just spots up on the carpet all over the place.

Someday, she's a puppy, maybe she'll grow out of it. None of those are flattering, but Fido? What does Fido mean? You ever thought about that? It means faithful, like Fidelis. It's like a, it's just, it's a perfect name for a dog. I mean, it sounds kind of dumb. But I don't think it was a very popular name or anything, as I understand it, until Abe Lincoln named his dog, Fido. And then people suddenly were like, yeah, you know what?

Dang straight.
