Hey, my friends, it's Matt.

This is the 10-minute Bible Hour podcast. And have you noticed, as we've been going through the fruit of the spirit, this list of very good things in Galatians chapter 5, have you noticed that all the things on the list that are evidences of God's presence in the life of the Christian, that these are also all things that God is really good at.

I mean, that's kind of a silly sounding phrase, I guess, because the very notion of God is that he's the best at everything.

But still, I mean, but the fruit of the spirit is, just think about this list from the perspective of, is God good at these things.

The fruit of spirit is love. Yeah,

yeah, God is love. Joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,

and self-control. Yep, these are attributes of God that God is imparting to us. Now, maybe those

attributes play out a little bit differently when you're talking about the almighty, perfect,

all-knowing being that transcends time and space who is God. These things are going to manifest

a little differently if you're that singular being. Then they do if you're

talking about me, some guy who's just trying to get through the 4th of July weekend and make his

internet stuff, but his house got struck by lightning during his 4th of July party and it fried his

internet and he makes internet things for a living and he has to do a podcast, but the internet

doesn't work. So how do you actually do that when you can't get internet and there's a backlog and nobody can

fix it?

Like when you're talking about somebody like that, okay, you know, these things are going to be a

little bit sloppy or they're going to manifest in more mundane ways than maybe love, joy,

peace, and patience manifest with the all-knowing,

all-powerful God of all things.

But the fruit of the spirit is stuff that is God, the stuff that is the attributes of God,

that is, that is manifest in us.
