Yesterday I threw out a quick reference to an old saying, the clothes maketh the man.

Do you know where that comes from?

I did not know where that comes from.

I thought I knew, but I was wrong.

I've been pulling on the thread of that, pun intended, today.

And I'd like to report my findings.

We'll see if you knew more about this than I did.

I thought it was from the Kingsman, which is a couple of movies that have come out recently.

You might like movies like that. You might not.

You should watch things you want to watch. I don't know. I'm in charge of that. I'm not recommending anything. Disclaimer, disclaimer, disclaimer. make it the man. It's a movie where a street smart kid from the UK gets roped into an ancient

secret society of peacekeepers and secret agents who do what needs to be done behind the scenes,

but they do it all with great dignity in a plumb. And so they wear certain outfits that are

reflective of the dignity of their station and their responsibility. But they don't say the clothes makeeth the man.

They're saying is manners makeeth the man.

But they say that while they're changing the kid's wardrobe and getting him on board with this.

So I think it kind of counts, but it's not from there.

So I went back a little further.

And there were people who thought that the saying came from the show Mad Men with Paul,

John Hamm and Tony Stark's dad.

I don't know the name of that actor.

And Richard Harris's son.

What's his name?
