0:00.0	Hey, my friends, it's Matt. This is the 10-minute Bible Hour podcast, and we are working on the book of Galatians. We've been in Galatians chapter 3 for quite a while now, if I'm to be honest. But, you know, it's important stuff. It's complicated. It takes a minute to go through it the right way. We're on this verse right now. Galatians 314 says he, God, redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus.
0:26.2	There's this concept in the whole Old Testament of God's chosen people, the Hebrews, the Israelites, or the Jews.
0:33.1	They are descendants of Abraham.
0:35.4	And God makes a special promise to Abraham that he's got some unique
0:39.4	blessings in store for he and his descendants are going to be a great nation, all of this stuff.
0:44.4	But part of the promise that God makes to Abraham is that through Abraham and his descendants,
0:49.6	all the nations of the world are going to be blessed. Well, guess what? I'm not Jewish.
0:53.7	So I'm part of the all the other nations part blessed. Well, guess what? I'm not Jewish. So I'm part of the
0:54.6	all the other nations part of that promise. And frankly, I'm very honored and very grateful to
1:01.2	have been thought of all the way back there in Genesis chapter 12. So what we've been doing
1:06.2	the last few days is going through the Old Testament and doing sort of this quick overview, this quick
1:12.4	journey through the timeline of the Old Testament to see how God's promise to Abraham about
1:18.3	the unique role of the Jews and the blessings he has in mind for the Jewish people,
1:22.5	the descendants of Abraham, how that is held up, but also how God has never wavered on his
1:27.4	plan that the rest of everybody
1:29.5	was also going to be blessed, that there would be a redemption and a restoration for everybody.
1:35.2	There's a plan for all the nations that runs clearly through the Old Testament.
1:39.8	And today we're going to round out our journey through a bunch of those references.
1:43.2	So if you didn't catch the last two episodes, you might want to because this will make more sense. But also,
1:47.3	it's the internet. You can come at it however you would like. We're going to have fun either way.
