How many of us have had a social dust up with somebody who we like, and rather than working

it out and just moving forward quickly, hey, we both bloodied each other's lips, that probably

wasn't the best, whatever, I made a mistake, you made a mistake, whatever, we're moving

forward. Instead of doing that, how often do we get in a fight with somebody we care about or have

a socially unfortunate interaction? And then we never patch it up because of pride. We don't

look dumb in front of people. We're embarrassed or insecure, whatever. And we just have this

lingering injury and this broken relationship that you just kind of always feel bad about,

but the longer

it goes, the harder it is to fix. I think we all probably have an experience or two like that

in our lives. And so I think it's understandable that somebody could read about this unfortunate

sounding lunchroom incident at Antioch between two guys we really love and root for as we're reading the Bible,

that being Paul and Peter.

I think it's understandable that all of us could look at that and be like, oh, man, if that

happened to me, I would like to think that I'd work it out, but it's possible that I wouldn't

and it would linger, and it would just be a sore spot and be weird.

And so over the last few days, we've been looking at the evidence we have in front of us to

sort of work through. What did happen? Did they work it out or did it stay weird? And everything

that we've seen, I think points to, they totally worked it out. This was a short-lived thing.
