It's just like, the story is just him being like,

the term chorus is generous.

Another of the song's oddities,

the first verse,

and so abruptly,

the wondrous Christmastime refrain feels like a festive assault

on one's auditory nerve.

This is just him writing.

Just getting angry at that one.

Just getting some shit off his chest.

You gave this song a second life in my brain because I had always,

I inherited the belief that it was the

worst Christmas song. And then you were like, it's not that bad. I was like, oh, maybe it's

not that bad. I love the fucking weird-ass keyboards in it. Yeah.

It's weird. Brank-ch-ch-brong-brong-blank-blank-blank-blank-chmchmchm. I'm like, okay, someone was high in the suit and I was like, I've never heard that sense part at the beginning.

It's always, I guess, I associate it with coming in to the middle of the song

while I'm out holiday shopping.
