Arab upheaval. Can Iran take advantage?

Hello again, I'm Aron Al-Ni, and this is To the Poet from Public Radio International.

A daily look at the issues, Americans care about most.

Omar Gaddafi continues to hold out in Tripoli, and the U.S. says no option is off the table.

But while unanimously approving tough sanctions, the U.N. Security Council has banned intervention.

It's unclear if Libya faces civil war or what the country might look like after Gaddafi.

The so-called Arab Spring has led to regime change in Egypt and high anxiety in Saudi Arabia and

Jordan.

What does that mean for American interests?

Now that major rivals are deposed or worried about their own futures, has Iran gained

new influence in the region?
