In college, I majored in elementary ed. My friends would make fun of me often.

I'd come back from class and they would say,

you're going to teach us how to glitter now, Gabe?

What did you guys learn today?

And so that sort of rooting for me, though,

helped me learn all kinds of great things.

If you're familiar with Gabe Lyons, that might be surprising.

Gabe's someone you're more likely to see on a stage at a large conference, talking with

culture-making leaders than you are to see him wielding a piece of chalk, or especially a

glitter stick in a classroom.

Finally, my senior year, most people would not know this.

I ended up graduating with a general studies degree.

No major. General studies, five minors.

In four years, I'd taken like 35 more credit hours than I needed. But if you followed Gabe's work,

it kind of makes sense. He's interested in everything. Gabe, with his wife, Rebecca,

is the founder of Q Ideas. And at the conferences and events that he hosts,

you'll find him talking with journalists, politicians, artists, fashion designers, and more.

Gabe's a teacher, and his work at Q seeks new ways to teach, engage leaders, and help Christians think about culture.
