Summary

On the show today is the beautiful Gabby Reece. I have had the good fortune of getting to know Gabby on a personal level. She, of course, was a very famous volleyball player and now she is a fitness guru. She is wife to the legendary Laird Hamilton. They have incredible health food companies that are helping people every single day get away from things that are not helping their body. But I really know her on the fitness level. And as time is going on, more and more on a mental level where I just relate to her so much. I think that we have similar backgrounds of being female athletes and also purely just being athletes and the mindset that you need to have to succeed "in your sport", which really translates to "in this world". So we work out together. She recently took me to a pool workout at her house where... Look, I’m pretty fit. I'm not going to lie. But there was some stuff I just literally couldn't do. And I've realized holding my breath is one of them. So she's really pushing me to stretch beyond my comfort zone into areas that I've never touched before. And I'm very inspired by that. I'm also inspired by her being so into wanting relationships to be good. She works really hard on her personal relationships, her marriage, and the relationships with her kids. And she learned some really valuable things growing up about how to do that and the fact that she was never told that she had to be somebody when she grew up. So we talked about how that is now affecting her life as a mom, trying to send that same message. So I really hope you enjoy today's episode.
