So, you and I decided to have a little chat with this man.

And I think a former referee in the 2002 World Cup final check, a bunch of things, yes.

I think a lot of people played. Yeah, sometimes on the field of play.

But once it's twice, I want to get right into it because the World Cup is a showcase for the best players, the best teams that qualify, unlike Italy.

But it's also the best referees. The referees are selected.

Referees come from every confederation.

I don't think everybody understands how the process works.

So, can you tell us, I presume you don't choose by yourself.

You have a group that monitors and looks at referees, right?

Yeah, and it was not even a lottery.

We started the selection process a few months after the World Cup 2018 was over.

We started a project called Road to Qatar 2022.

So, we identified quite a big number of referees from all over the world.

And we start working with them.

But then, unfortunately, our plans needed to be amended due to the pandemic.

We had some issues.
