Welcome back to another Gab and Jules meets. Jules, it's not often that we have the opportunity

to talk to somebody who was in the recently retired a legendary footballer in the Premier League,

who eventually made Premier League history. I now can look at it from the other side as well.

Now that he's a manager, I really take this in so many different directions beyond football.

Somebody actually thinks about this and doesn't speak in terms of cliches.

And that man of course is Vincent Company, I'm the manager of Barely Football Club.

That sounds good, doesn't it? It sounds really good, man.

Do you sometimes forget, like is it like something that's seeped into you, that like,

this is my job now? When you're out there, you're the boss.

No, I forget sometimes that I was a player. Yeah, that's how much you invest into the job.

So my life has just shifted from being a player to being a manager.

The things you do have is like, especially when your players are going through situations,

then you can relate, you can say, hey, I went through this or one of my coaches

because they've all played professional careers as well. They went through it and you relate.

But my life has just changed now. Yeah. I wrote a book with Janu Gaviali many years ago.

And he talked about the same thing about the transition.

And he was also a player manager for a while too with Chelsea.

And he said one of the most difficult things was that as a player, obviously,

as a leader, you can concern with your teammates and so on.

But ultimately, being a high level athlete, so much focus on yourself.

Am I eating right? Did I train well today?

What can I do better? Do I sleep well? I didn't even become a manager.
