uh so let's just start with that how did we arrive at this decision when at the end of this

as you know a step back first of all the obvious one correct decision to keep

Eric Tenhog for another year possibly negotiate as our colleague Rob Dawson

reported a one-year extension.

Personally I don't think so I don't think last season made him good enough to stay, I'm not sure.

You know, especially at the start of a new cycle with new people in charge,

and new structure, everything.

I thought the right thing to do was to get rid of him,

one year left on his contract, so you had to pay him something.

But I just didn't think that we'd seen enough last season, even with the FF a Cup win in the end,

for him to warrant another season at the club. However, if then when you're looking for somebody to replace him

and you can't find either the right candidate

or a good candidate full stop, then he is there, he's at the contract like you've said on the

show before so you may as well keep him extending his contract I don't think so but if

really you had no other options really that you felt was good enough then by default
