And of course, that was highlighted this week with discussions of foreign aid and the proposed cut in the foreign aid budget,

which had the possibility of a rebellion by leading Conservative MPs,

until, of course, the Speaker ruled that out of order.

In the week of the British chairmanship of the G7,

the government's failure to address this issue will indisputably mean that hundreds of thousands of avoidable deaths will result.

It is already attracting criticism from all around the other members of the G7.

We're not only threatened life and critical support, but we also allow other nations

to then take the lead. And I can't stress, is the world is changing very, very fast indeed.

And we have a reach and understanding of the world around us. This isn't the moment to retreat.
