Dave Hollad, as always. Well, in our last episode, we saw that the Americans turned up the heat

on the ground, so to speak. They launched another offensive on the Matanacal River, and then we had a

sea battle called the Battle of Tessa Feronga, which was a

Japanese victory of an embarrassing defeat for the Americans. And then we saw that there was more

efforts to resupply. The Japanese are continuing to try to get supplies to their men so they don't

starve to death so that they have ammunition and all the things that the land army needs the americans brought in some guys and took out some other guys and then we talked about

the battle of the gifu which is a major offensive that the allies launched on a very strongly

fortified japanese position we kind of left them there they didn't really finish the job so we're

going to see tonight or today rather it depends on really finish the job. So we're going to see tonight or today, rather, it depends on when you're listening to this.

We're going to see if the Americans are able to reduce that position.

The Japanese made the fateful decision not to try to attack any more in Guadalcanal,
