This is scouting sessions in which I'm joined by a guest or two to highlight some of football's most exciting or informed players by those who know them best. Apparently people like these episodes, which is good. So I'll try to get two or three more out between now and the end of

January and as different players and rumors pop up, which I'm sure they will do, because they always do.

For our first player, we'll be heading to Portugal to discuss a player who hasn't stopped scoring

since joining his new club in August. Some of you suggested him on social media, but I've got

And obviously, you've got Victor Gioquhraish up front,

so you can't really complain about Samu scoring goals.

Definitely not.

But when it comes to scouting and profiling strikers,

I would say over the last decade or even 20 years,

Athletico, Madrid, and Porto are two of the best around. So it's no surprise

that Samu has a connection to both clubs. I think of Radamel Falcal, Jackson Martinez, who obviously

played for both as well. But Athletico in general, have this nose in the market for a good striker.

And I think of Sergio Aguero, Fernando Torres, Diego Costa as well, just to name a few.

He actually didn't make an appearance for Athletico, but Chelsea were on the verge of signing

him for 40 million euros last summer before that move eventually collapsed, and he joined
