I think this is going to surprise some of our listeners, though not if they think about it.

Because this podcast is actually in some ways going to be about the opposite of meat.

And in some ways, not at all about the opposite of meat.

And for someone who named their in utero baby the brisket, it may seem strange to people that I want to talk about meat alternatives or cultivated meat.

But I know we all have sort of versions of our single self.

My single self is a vegetarian slash maybe even a vegan in terms of what I eat when Scott is gone.

And so I've always been really, really interested in yeah, our meat alternatives.

And so I have found us a very special guest for this topic founder and chief executive officer of the good food institute.

He has a very short and very worthwhile Ted talk that we'll put in the show notes that's worth watching as well.

So I think when most people think of meat alternatives, they are thinking of tofu.

They're thinking of mushroom burgers things like this that maybe some of them don't like black bean burgers.

I I've all of college eight black bean burgers with mustard just by themselves kind of disgusting actually.

But you can live on it as I proved I am still alive.

But there's a fascinating new field of cultivated meat.
