Welcome to the Writers panel.

I'm Ben Blacker, the creator and moderator of the podcast.

I created the show because I wanted to talk to other writers about the business and process of writing.

I've had more than 500 writers on the show, so please check the archives to find more writers and more TV shows of

interest to you. I'm a writer myself, having written for supernatural, Puss and Boots, and other

programs. I have a couple of cool projects out this first quarter of 2017, that I hope you'll

check out. One is a supernatural Western comic book series from Boom Publishing that I wrote

with my writing partner, Ben Acker, and our friend, the TV showrunner, Andrew Miller.

It's beautifully illustrated by Hannah Christensen, and the first issue is available in comic stores and online February 8th.

In March, comes the first book in a series of young adult novels that Acker and I wrote called Star Wars Join

the Resistance. It takes place just before the Force awakens and is about a bunch of kids who

join the fight against the First Order. But mostly they have adventures, fall in love with each

other, and get in trouble. I hope you'll check out both of those projects. We're very proud of how
