I got to catch up with him last week in Bournemouth.

And we may have some good news as it relates to his injury.

So you're not going to want to miss that one.

But first and foremost, speaking of the U.S. men's national team,

well, Tim Weir was recently asked about the wild FIFA World Cup prices. and he said, look, I think it is disappointing that they are that expensive.

Well, his head coach, Mauricio Pochitino, didn't really like him speaking out about it.

This is what he had to say.

First of all, I think players need to talk on the pitch, playing football, not outside of the pitch.

It is not his duty to evaluate the price

of the ticket. We are not politicians. We are sport people that only we can talk about our job.

We need to be focused on the sports side and trust the organization that is in charge of soccer

or football around the world that they are going to do the right things.

All right. Interesting stuff then from Potch. All I have to say is, oh, Mauricio, it was going so well because guys, I mean, I'm going to get your opinion soon, but this I feel like is plunging us back into the dark ages where he's kind of saying to Tim Weyer, stay in your lane, shut up and play.

And I think we have grown a lot from that where we have seen athletes able to speak about

worldly things.

So to hear this for me, it's a bit disappointing coming from Mauritia Pochitina.

But Shaka, what did you make of it

um disappointing is about as nicely as i as i can phrase yeah i'll be honest with you um

athletes have been using their platform for quite some time um the the challenge to athletes using their

platform has been debunked continuously, given what's happening off the field politically.
