dreams, more on that in a second and how the remains of a chemistry experiment that was carried out over 50 years ago has actually helped to reveal a lot more than we first thought about the origins of the building blocks of life here on Earth.

Thanks, Chris. Also this week we're taking a look at the science of nuclear fusion

to find out how researchers are trying to recreate the process that powers the sun down here on Earth.

The promise, of course, is bountier supplies of cheap clean energy, but how close

are we and is it even possible? We'll be talking to fusion scientists Steve Cowley and Kate Lancaster

to find out. Thank you very much Helen and when it comes to

creating nuclear fusion of course size does appear to be very important.

It has to be a certain size to produce a certain amount of energy that is what physics

teaches us small machines can only do a little bit.

Larger machines can do much better and then a reactor will even be larger than jet.

Mere has been down to jet, that's the joint European tourists, the first machine to harness

the power of fusion, and we'll be hearing how she got on later in the program.
