Hey, as Sabbath was approaching this year, our team sat down and recorded a conversation on the intersection of work and rest.

How we as men and women of God are called to relate to the work that God has put in our hands in the beauty and power of godly rest.

So as we as a church step into this time of Sabbath, we hope this conversation acts as a useful resource to help you find peace and inspiration.

Here's part one of that conversation.

That's right. That's right. Is that true?

It is true. It is true. It's the beginning of a new day.

We've taken some pictures. So you say.

First ever further in, filmed. We're talking about Sabbath. We're talking about rest,

which I'm honestly really excited to talk about as someone that I feel like it's a topic

I've struggled with my whole life of knowing the balance, right? I think when we talk about

rest, you have, I think, two different extremes, right?

There's the, I'm going to use rest as sort of a license to be lazy. Like, well, God wants me to be a

restful person. So I play video games for seven hours a day as soon as I get off work and because

God wants me to, you know, rest.

Or maybe on the other extreme, like, you know, God's called us to, you know, work hard.

God's called us to put our shoulder to the plow.

God needs my output.

God needs what I can bring to the table.

And you've got this sort of workaholism
